  • 01What is TRUEVOLT and who is it best for?

TRUEVOLT is India's trust-first marketplace for refurbished electronics. It is best for buyers who want transparent listing details, battery health when disclosed, and Trusted Sellers, not anonymous classifieds listings.

  • 02What devices and categories does TRUEVOLT support?

TRUEVOLT supports Phones, Tablet, Accessories, Wearables, and Laptop. Listings emphasise condition transparency (cosmetic grade, battery health, and functional details) so buyers can compare with clarity.

  • 03How does TRUEVOLT work for buyers?

Browse listings and verified stores, review condition, battery, warranty, and diagnostic details when they are provided, then contact the seller by phone or WhatsApp. Trust signals appear before contact actions. Guests can browse freely; sign-in is only needed for wishlist, contacting a seller, or notifications. Purchases happen directly with the store. TRUEVOLT does not offer in-app checkout.

  • 04How much does it cost to use TRUEVOLT?

Browsing and discovering sellers on TRUEVOLT is free for buyers. Sellers use a subscription for listing and branch capacity. Purchases happen directly with the store with no marketplace commission.

  • 05What makes TRUEVOLT different from other refurbished marketplaces?

TRUEVOLT prioritises trust over urgency: Trusted Sellers, transparent condition reporting, battery health visibility when disclosed, and a professional marketplace experience, not classifieds-style pressure or unverified listings.

  • 06Can I visit a store in person before buying?

TRUEVOLT focuses on verified local businesses. Where a store has a physical location, buyers can typically visit, inspect the device, and get after-sales support from an accountable neighbourhood seller, reducing the uncertainty of remote-only marketplaces.

  • 07Does TRUEVOLT offer in-app chat or public reviews in V1?

V1 focuses on discovery, condition transparency, and direct contact with Trusted Sellers. In-app chat and public review systems are not part of the V1 product scope; trust is built through verification and disclosure rather than unverified ratings. Contact is by phone or WhatsApp.

  • 08Where is TRUEVOLT available?

TRUEVOLT is available across India through the Customer app and website. Availability of nearby stores depends on Trusted Sellers in each city.

  • 09How do I contact TRUEVOLT support?

Use the contact form at truevolt.in/contact, or email support@truevolt.in for buyer help and sellers@truevolt.in for seller or Enterprise enquiries. We aim to respond within one business day.

  • 10What do condition grades A+, A, B, and C mean?

Grades describe cosmetic presentation. A+ is like-new with no visible scratches, A is excellent with minor signs of use, B is good with visible light wear, and C is fair with more cosmetic wear. Functional status and battery health are disclosed separately when the seller provides them, so price and condition can be compared honestly.

  • 11How should I use trust signals on a listing?

Review seller verification, cosmetic grade, functional status, battery health, warranty information, and any attached diagnostic report before contacting the seller. TRUEVOLT surfaces trust information ahead of contact actions by design.

  • 12How do I know a store is verified?

Trusted Sellers display TRUEVOLT trust signals on their profile. Buyers should confirm Trusted Seller status and review condition disclosures before contacting the seller.

  • 13What if a device does not match its listing details?

Contact the store first with the listing details. If the issue is not resolved, email support@truevolt.in so the TRUEVOLT team can review the report.

  • 14How can I verify a device's IMEI when inspecting at the store?

When inspecting a phone at the store, you can retrieve its 15-digit IMEI by dialling *#06# on the phone dialler. Verify that this number matches the IMEI shown in the device system settings and on the seller's purchase invoice to confirm that you are purchasing the exact device listed.

  • 15Why does battery health matter on refurbished devices?

Battery health indicates remaining capacity versus a new battery. When a seller provides battery health, TRUEVOLT shows it on the listing so buyers understand real-world usage expectations before contacting the store.

  • 16What do the battery health percentage ranges mean on TrueVolt?

When a seller provides battery health, TRUEVOLT categorises it into clear tiers: 90–100% is Like New, 80–89% is Excellent, 70–79% is Acceptable, and 60–69% is Fair. Devices without disclosed battery health should be evaluated with extra care. Battery information is shown when the seller provides it and is never invented.

  • 17What is TrueVolt Pro Diagnostic?

TrueVolt Pro Diagnostic is an optional 32-point device diagnostic. When a report is attached to a listing, buyers can review that summary. It is not required to publish a listing, and not every listing includes a report.

  • 18What does the TrueVolt Pro Diagnostic test cover?

When attached, the TrueVolt Pro Diagnostic evaluates 6 hardware categories: Buttons (volume, power, mute), Display (touch zones, multi-touch, colour uniformity, brightness), Sensors (proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, biometrics), Cameras (front, rear, flashlight), Audio & Haptics (loudspeaker, earpiece, microphone, vibration), and Power & Connectivity (charging, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS).

  • 19Does TRUEVOLT provide a warranty on devices?

No. TRUEVOLT is a marketplace and does not provide a platform-wide warranty. Warranty terms are disclosed on the listing when provided by the seller. Some devices carry an active OEM warranty from the manufacturer; others include a shop warranty provided directly by the seller. TRUEVOLT does not attach a warranty to every device automatically.

  • 20What is the difference between an OEM Warranty and a Shop Warranty?

An OEM warranty is the original manufacturer warranty, meaning the brand is directly responsible for repairs and replacements. A Shop Warranty is provided directly by the seller as an assurance that the device is genuine and working. Shop warranties typically last 1 month, though duration varies by seller. Among devices with shop warranty, prefer sellers offering the longest duration.

  • 21Are warranty terms the same for every listing?

No. Warranty is disclosed on the listing when the seller provides it. Some devices may still have OEM warranty; others may include a shop warranty. TRUEVOLT does not attach a warranty to every device automatically.

  • 22Who can apply to become a TRUEVOLT seller?

Refurbished electronics businesses with a verifiable identity, GST or shop registration, and a physical branch in India can register on Seller Web and complete business verification.

  • 23How are sellers verified on TRUEVOLT?

Sellers register on Seller Web, add business and branch details, submit business and GST documentation, and wait for TRUEVOLT to review the business and each branch. Listing access follows an active subscription. There is no on-site inspector visit in the current product flow.

  • 24What do sellers gain from verification?

Trusted Sellers reach buyers who value condition transparency and local accountability, positioning the store as a professional, verified business rather than an anonymous listing.

  • 25What listing standards must sellers follow?

Listings must accurately reflect device condition, battery health, cosmetic grade, and functional status when those details are provided. Misrepresentation can result in removal from the platform.

  • 26How do seller plans work?

Sellers subscribe on Seller Web, monthly or yearly. Starter, Growth, and Pro include listing and branch capacity. Extra Branch and Extra Listing Pack add-ons are available. Standard capacity supports up to 1,000 listings and 10 branches. Larger needs go through an Enterprise enquiry at sellers@truevolt.in. Enterprise is not an online checkout plan.

  • 27Is there a trial for paid seller plans?

Yes. New sellers can try Starter, Growth, or Pro for 90 days with no charge today. The trial is once per seller account and starts on Seller Web. You get the listing and branch capacity of the plan you choose. Billing for that plan starts when the trial ends unless you stop renewing. The Free plan is separate: it stays available with a smaller listing limit and is not the same as the trial.

  • 28Is there a Free plan for sellers?

Yes. TrueVolt Free is a permanent plan with 10 active listings, 1 branch, and basic Sales and Insights. You can start on Free and upgrade to a paid plan anytime on Seller Web.

  • 29Do sellers pay commission on sales?

No. TRUEVOLT does not take a commission on your sales. Listing and branch capacity are subscription-based. You keep what you earn from the buyer.

  • 30What happens after the seller trial ends?

Billing for the paid plan you chose starts when the 90-day trial ends, unless you stop renewing on Seller Web. If the plan does not renew, you can continue on Free with 10 active listings and 1 branch.

  • 31Can sellers upgrade or change plans later?

Yes. Plan changes happen on Seller Web. You can move to a different listing-capacity plan or continue on Free. Checkout is not on this website.
